On February 01, 2019, at HCMC University of Transport, Ministry of Transport held the Ceremony on announcement and awarding the Decision on appointment for cadre work. Minister of Transport Nguyen Van The attended and granted the Decisions on retirement according to the regime to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Thu, Former Party Committee Secretary, President of UT-HCMC and appointment of the incharge of UT-HCMC to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dong Van Huong, Vice President of UT-HCMC

In his speech at the ceremony, Minister of Transport Nguyen Van The was so glad with the rapid development of UT-HCMC, more fully facilities and good education and training quality. On behalf of Board of Party Personnel and Ministry Leaders, Minister of Transport congratulated Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Thu on accomplishing excellently duties over the last time. Minister of Transport acknowledged and praised the contributions and dedication of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Thu to Transport and Education Industry. In the upcoming stage, Minister recommended that Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Thu would continue to contribute his brainpower to the development of UT-HCMC.

This is the great honor, pride, trust, and appreciation of Ministry of Transport to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dong Van Huong. Minister of Transport Nguyen Van The suggested that with the new position, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dong Van Huong would take charge of managing comprehensively, maintaining the entire University's activities, building solidarity in University, making continuous efforts, exemplifying, being responsible and dedicated to the work, having a renovation and reform thinking to accomplish work well and efficiently, maintaining the aspiration flame of successful innovation, and building UT-HCMC to become developed increasingly.
