“Job Fair and Business Connections 2022”: A bridge to bring UTH’s students closer to businesses

Speaking at the opening speech of the Job Fair and Business Connections 2022, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Acting President of UTH, expressed his excitement when welcoming businesses participating in the program. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Phuong emphasized that this is an opportunity for the University to listen to the most practical issues from businesses to continuously update the academic programme. This is also a great opportunity for students to interact, demonstrate their own abilities, and find job opportunities as their training majors at reputable businesses. In particular, this is also a significant opportunity to strengthen the connection between the University and businesses, to understand timely learners’ actual needs and businesses’ recruitment criteria.

Connecting with businesses in training is a long-standing development strategy at the University. The University’s representative signed memorandums of understanding on cooperation with TMA Tech Group, In Do Trans Logistics Corporation (ITL), Trung A Trading and Service Joint Stock Company, Van Lang Industrial Waste Treatment and Environmental Consulting Company Limited, and Youth Employment Services Center. This collaboration enables the University's training to always meet the needs of businesses, ensuring that graduates' professional skills are always at a high level and ready for the business environment when they begin to work.

The highlight of the Fair is the fact that the University has officially launched Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport’s TV Channel (UTH-TV). In the University’s development strategy in the coming period, communication is considered to play an important role to help the image, training activities, technology transfer and integration spread widely. The University has specifically planned and built complete media rooms, online meeting rooms and especially a film studio for UTH-TV. In addition, the University launched an electronic edition of the Journal of Transportation Science and Technology (JTST) and introduced Editorial Board Members.

Many interesting activities took place within the framework of the Fai, such as: Honda Phat Tien's Safety Driving Program, Lazada Logistics Vietnam's workshop, TMA Tech Group's workshop... Especially, the Seminar on "Demands for Human Resources in the Transport Sector to Adapt to Changes and Respond Risks” has received the attention of large businesses and a large number of students.
