Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Taiwan Maritime and Port Bureau (TMPB)
In the framework of the business trip, the UT-HCMC delegation had a meeting and exchanging with the Taiwan Maritime and Port Bureau (TMPB) on the possibilities of cooperation between the two sides on May 21st, 2019. After the discussion, the UT-HCMC delegation visited some ports and infrastructure of the TMPB.
On the basis of meeting to learn from each other and looking forward to promoting long-term cooperative relations in the maritime field, the Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport and Taiwan Maritime and Port Bureau jointly signed the Memorandum of Understanding under the witness of the Head of Transport sector of Taiwan on May 22nd, 2019. The signing ceremony took place well in the framework of the International Conference on Port and Maritime Transport in 2019. In the MOU, the two sides agreed to jointly promote research cooperation activities, organize seminars and conferences on exchanging practical and academic experiences in the maritime field.
At the Seminar, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Phuong also presented the theme "Analyzing and forecasting of Vietnam's maritime development in the context of the world shipping market, and Vietnam-Taiwan economic relations during the period of 2018 - 2020", providing an overview of the Maritime field in Vietnam and the economic relationship between Vietnam and Taiwan. The presentation received great attention and appreciation from the participants.

On the sidelines of the Seminar, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Phuong also met and discussed with the Head of Transport sector of Taiwan on the development and cooperation of the maritime industry between the two economies at present and in the future.
In general, the UT-HCMC delegation had worked seriously and achieved great results, which is opening more cooperation opportunities for UT-HCMC and partners in Taiwan in the near future.
