Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport ceremonially celebrated the 37th Anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20, 1982 – November 20, 2019)

With the tradition of “Venerating teachers and Respecting the morals", on the morning of November 20th, 2019, Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport (UT-HCMC) ceremonially celebrated the 37th Anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day. Attending at the Ceremony, there were representatives of Party Committee of Ministry of Transport, HCMC Labor Confederation, companies, enterprises, former and present leaders, lecturers and students of UT-HCMC.

Remarkable and meaningful musical performances of UT-HCMC’s students

Dr. Nguyen Van Khoang, UT-HCMC’s Council Chairman read the congratulatory letter on Vietnamese Teachers' Day written by the Minister of Ministry of Transport to all the teachers and officials working at universities in the Transport sector. In the letter, Minister appriciated all fine performances and achievements of all the lecturers, officials and also encouraged all the universities to continuously gain more achievements, strive to enhance quality of teaching and learning, conduct scientific research activities, and transfer technology in the transport sector.. to become the key multi-disciplinary university in Viet Nam, including the top scientific research, fostering and training center in the transport sector and relevant sectors and the prestigious university, and integrate into universities in the region and swiftly approach the level of advanced universities in the world.

On behalf of UT-HCMC’s Board of Presidents, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dong Van Huong, Party Committee Secretary, Vice President of UT-HCMC delivered a speech to celebrate the Vietnamese Teachers’ Day. In his speech, Assoc. Pro. Dr. Dong Van Huong sent his best wishes and appreciation to all the officials and lecturers working in UT-HCMC who would be moral, self-learning and creative examples and continuously contribute to the development of UT-HCMC in particular and the Transport sector in general. He also hoped that despite difficulties and challenges, UT-HCMC's lecturers should continue to raise the sense of responsibility, change the thinking of education, make great efforts to improve themselves and teach wholeheartedly for students not only professional knowledge but also ethics. And for the students, UT-HCMC always accompanies them on the path of their learning.

Previously, towards the 37th Anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20, 1982 – November 20, 2019), UT-HCMC also received many colorful flowers baskets and telegram of greetings from many organizations, enterprises, units and individuals. “Venerating teachers and respecting the morals” is one of the long-standing traditions of Vietnamese people. On the special and meaningful occasion, many generations of UT-HCMC's students who returned to the University to celebrate, meet and sent best wishes to their lecturers.
