Ho Chi Minh City University City Transport held the Dialogue on "Vietnam Economy in the current context: Opportunities and Challenges"

Nowadays, technology has been developing and becoming widespread quickly. However, in the economic and political context has been fluctuating dramatically in the world and the region by Covid-19 pandemic. Enterprises and state departments, research and training units need to understand the current context of Viet Nam economy, opportunities and challenges in order to have good strategies for developing sustainably. Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport (UT-HCMC) held the Dialogue on "Vietnam Economy in the current context: Opportunities and Challenges" presented by Keynote Speaker Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Dinh Thien, Director of Vietnam Economic Institute, a member of the National Financial and Monetary Policy Advisory Council.

The Dialogue attracted participation of leaders from the Departments of provinces, universities, colleges, lecturers and students of UT-HCMC.

With the informative and practical presentation, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Dinh Thien presented problems "Covid-19 and the new development approach to the problems of Vietnam economy," strengths - weaknesses, prospect; Covid-19: integrating trends, pervasive and resonant effects; identifying Covid (in the world – in the era), How ways Vietnam has been combating epidemic and would cope with difficulties after epidemic, Vietnam’s position in the global world  after limiting successfully the spread of Covid-19 so far, etc. He also raised some big questions such as many things need to properly identify the current context in the world related Covid to forecast prospects immediately and identify important missions - assignments to complete and propose additional policies effectively.

Participants also asked Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Dinh Thien some questions such as the challenges and opportunities in the current context of Vietnam economy, any advices for young people who have been eager to start-up their own business in the current context; the opportunities and challenges which would bring to the development of transport sector, etc.
