DEOCA Group and the University of Transport of Ho Chi Minh City (UTH) met to concretise their cooperation in human resource training in Ho Chi Minh City on August 8.

DEOCA proposed a plan to establish the Research and Training Institute under UTH, combining the DOECA's experience and management capacity in transportation and UTH's research and training strengths.

This Institute will train, receive and transfer technology in the transport field and technology for practical application. DEOCA will invite members of the Advisory Council and assign several vital leaders to join the Founding Council and Executive Board of the Institute. Those prioritised for training are UTH students, DEOCA’s employees, and their partners.

Regarding research-technology transfer, the Institute will research new technologies and application solutions for DEOCA and the transport industry. Its laboratory will be built to study work quality and safety inspection, materials testing, construction solutions, and other specific experiments.

At the meeting, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of DEOCA Ho Minh Hoang affirmed that this cooperation relationship would benefit both sides, dedicating the best to develop the country.

Nguyen Xuan Phuong, Rector of UTH, highly appreciated the prestige, capacity, and experience of DEOCA Group in the field of transport infrastructure. "The "win" of the university in this cooperation is to accompany DEOCA in the construction of key national traffic works", he shared.

The two sides also agreed to formulate a project to establish the Institute, complete procedures, sign a strategic cooperation agreement, build training programmes, and prepare facilities for training shortly.
