02 scientific studies of Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport’s students received the Incentive Awards in the 21st Euréka Scientific Research Student Award 2019

On November 24, 2019, in the Ho Chi Minh city Student Cultural House (under Urban Area of Vietnam National University - VNU Ho Chi Minh city), Organization Board of the 21st Euréka Scientific Research Student Award 2019 announced and congratulated the winning candidates this year. Accordingly, the Organization Board rewarded a total of 121 awards included 10 first awards, 14 second awards, 15 third awards, 82 incentive awards. At the Award Ceremony, the winning candidates were glorified and awarded by Organization Board. The total awards value is VND 379 million.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport (UT-HCMC) had 04 scientific projects shortlisted in the final round are: A experimental study on identifying a number of physical and mechanical proportion of combination of cement reinforced with clay-pond mixtures and coconut fibers; A study on Applying Dynamo tool to develop building information modeling (BIM) in the design stages; A study on the pedestrians’ behavior towards crossing the roads in increasing the level of safety at intersections installed traffic lights in Ho Chi Minh City; A design model on monitoring environment and automatic fire alarm system for the basement parking floors by applying Internet of Things).

At the Award Ceremony, Nguyen Van Tuan, Nguyen Trung Thong, and Vo Nguyen Anh – students of Faculty of Construction Engineering with “A study on Applying Dynamo tool to develop building information modeling (BIM) in the early design stages” and Nguyen Huu Canh, Nguyen Tran Quoc Son, Dang Quoc Thai, and Truong Quang Nhat – students of Faculty of Transport Engineering with “A study on the pedestrians’ behavior towards crossing the roads in increasing the level of safety at intersections installed traffic lights in Ho Chi Minh City” were received the incentive awards, namely VND 2 million/ an incentive award + Merit Award of Ho Chi Minh City’s Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union).
